Ghanaian Middleweight boxer Obodai Sai has stated in plain words that his Tanzanian opponent Ibrahim Tamba will not travel the full distance in their final eliminator tomorrow at the Trust Sports Emporium (Bukom Arena).
The former Commonwealth Middleweight titlist told this writer after a steamy training session in Accra (Attoh Quarshie Gym) on Monday that his massive investment by way of training will see the visitor off before the stipulated twelve rounds.
Sai, one of the country’s hard hitting boxers would be defending his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Interim Africa Middleweight title he won against Burkinabe Kabore Iddrisa in August.
Now under Lions Boxing Promotions, Sai is eager to rule the World soon and has promised to use Friday’s bout as launch pad to realize his world title aspirations.
“He won’t go beyond round six, am not bragging, I know what I have done by way of training, I feel well composed, determined and confident to scale over this hurdle.”
“My only request is for the fans to come on time to see real boxing, it is not going to be just a fight but a good one. My management has been very supportive, we are taking a fight at a time as we aspire to rule the world soon,” said Sai.
The Ghanaian goes into the fight with an impressive record of 31 fights, 29 wins 22 KOs and two losses, while the Tanzanian has done 25 fights 23 wins and two defeats.
