Hiplife artiste Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, in partnership with the Christiana Addo Memorial Foundation (CAMF), will host a musical concert at Banso in Asante Akyem South District to entertain music fans.
The free street jam is being organised to promote Ghanaian music and create an opportunity for up-and-coming artistes in the district to showcase their musical talents.
Artistes billed for the show are Flowking Stone, Okyeame Kwame, Wendy Shay, Tic and a host of others.
Obour, the immediate past president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), would perform at the event as the headline artiste.
Before the concert, which is slated for Saturday, September 21, there would a clean-up exercise in some selected villages such as Komeso, Saabo Yawbarima, Takyikrom and Kyempo.
According to Obour, the decision to organise the clean-up exercise is to create public awareness on the need for hygienic homes, clean water and sanitation in the communities with the district.
He added that a special tree planting exercise would also take place immediately after the clean-up exercise.
Obour urged local councils in the district to invest in waste management and also initiate annual awards to deserving individuals, associations and institutions in order to promote good sanitation practices in their communities.
