Officers in a group photograph in front of the Matambo
Forty-four officers of the Ghana Armed Forces have donated an ultrasound Matambo to the Ghana Military Academy (GMA) from where they graduated twenty-five years ago.
The colourful presentation was done last Monday on the premises of the GMA at Teshie in Accra.
The gesture forms part of the 25th anniversary celebration of intake’s graduation from the GMA.
Colonel Eric Aggrey-Quashie, Director of Public Relation of the Armed Forces, a member of the intake, who represented his mates while making the donation, said the gesture was in fulfillment of their desire to give back to their alma mater and also deepen the bond between the officers and the school.
The newly built Matambo has in it a bar and two washrooms which are intended to serve as an alternative to the existing mess at the GMA.
