The 2020 edition of Oguaa Fetu Afahye celebrations has been suspended.
The Oguaa Traditional Council made the announcement in a statement dated June 3, 2020.
Coronavirus outbreak in Ghana was cited as the reason for the suspension of the celebrations.
According to the statement signed by L.A. Donkoh, Senior Registrar of the Council, “all rituals and traditions will be observed.”
Ghana currently has 44 coronavirus related deaths, and 9,462 confirmed cases.
