Hiplife musician Okomfour Kwadee has cautioned the youth against using opioids, particularly a substance known as “Red” or “225,” describing it as highly addictive and dangerous.

In an interview with Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu, shared on social media on August 11, 2025, Kwadee—who has battled mental illness in the past—appeared stable and composed as he shared his advice.

“Doctors have spoken against the intake of red because if you take it, you can die from it,” he said. “The red, tramadol, and other stimulants are of no benefit. I will admonish the youth to engage in activities that would benefit them.”

Kwadee revealed that he had experimented with various stimulants in the past, which had negative effects on his health. He also advised fellow musicians to avoid marijuana and other harmful substances, warning that foreign influence is encouraging harmful lifestyle habits.

“These days, the whole thing has become like a fashion; they should note that they can’t smoke forever because it’s not helpful,” he added.
