Patience Nyarko has announced plans to embark on a nationwide peace campaign tour, aimed at ensuring that all Ghanaians embrace peace ahead of the December 7 general elections.
The gospel musician, in a statement, said her peace tour is being organised to educate the entire citizenry to desist from engaging in any acts of violence before, during and after the December 7 elections.
She said the peace campaign tour, dubbed ‘Patience Nyarko Peace Project’, will take her throughout the country to educate Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians about the essence of peace in the upcoming elections.
Some political and religious leaders have also been invited to help her on the tour.
She added that the tour will also witness live musical performances by some selected music icons, hinting that some of the peace ambassadors selected from the society will deliver peace messages during the tour.
Patience Nyarko implored the media to use their platforms to drum home the message of peace, insisting that Ghana cannot transform if the country’s peace is threatened.
The gospel musician hinted that she has released a peace song titled ‘Ye Pe Asomdwe’ which will be used as the theme song for her peace tour.
