Renowned Ghanaian highlife musician and actress, Paulina Oduro, has addressed the concerns of Kofi Kinaata’s fans regarding his omission from the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
In an interview with Joy Prime, Paulina allegedly said that Kofi Kinaata’s exceptional talent and contributions to the music industry transcend the need for validation from award schemes.
She praised the “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker for his unique artistry and dedication, stating, “He is bigger than that, and we know who he is. He is cute, and handsome, and he can sing and rap, so he doesn’t need it.”
Expressing personal pride in Kinaata’s achievements, Paulina Oduro highlighted his impact on the Western Region and Takoradi, noting, “Kofi Kinaata is my passion because he is from where I am from. From where he started, I am proud of him because he has taken the Western Region and Takoradi to a level where nobody has.”
She further commended his independent efforts in elevating his hometown’s prominence, remarking, “This young man has done this on his own. By taking Takoradi on the map, I am like his mom.”
Paulina Oduro has consistently lauded Kinaata’s commitment to his unique musical style, previously stating that he “has brought something that no other musician can do.”
