Diana Uribe (Colombian Historian)
The Pan African Writers’ Association (PAWA) will on November 7, 2016 mark the 6th edition of its Annual Lecture in Accra.
The occasion of the PAWA Annual Lecture is also to celebrate the 23rd International African Writers Day (IAWD); a day (November 7) set aside by the African Union (AU) to commemorate the achievements of African Writers.
PAWA is the umbrella body of all the continent’s writers’ associations, and it is headquartered in Accra.
Every year, on IAWD, the association brings writers together to deliberate on issues, taking stock of their activities to see where they have fallen short, so they can make amends and work together towards a common goal.
The speaker for this year’s annual lecture is Colombian historian, Diana Uribe. It will be on the theme: “Africa, the third Root of Colombia.”
Diana Uribe is a Colombian Journalist who has specialized in historical disclosure programs.
The annual lecture will also bring to light the essence of knowing Africa and some original history.
The Chairperson for the Annual Lecture is Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, Founder and Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries.
