Dr. Ibrahim Anyars
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCo), Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, has emphasised that beneficiaries of the scheme are being prepared for permanent employment as it approaches its second anniversary.
Dr. Anyars said as trainees go through a work and learning programme, they would be ready for opportunities for permanent employment and become innovative in establishing their own enterprises.
“By placing them into work to gain experience and value addition through training and human capital development, the trainees would be ready for opportunities for permanent employment and become innovative in establishing their enterprise,” Dr. Anyars said while addressing the maiden edition of the Nation Building Updates in Accra on Tuesday on the theme: ‘Leadership That Delivers For The Youth’.
He said government recognises the challenging burden of unemployment at various levels of society and has adequately initiated measures through the NaBCO programme to address it.
Present at the gathering were the CEOs from the National Youth Authority (NYA), Youth Employment Agency (YEA), National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), National Service Scheme (NSS) and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP).
The CEOs praised the Akufo-Addo administration for making unprecedented strides in providing opportunities and hope for the Ghanaian youth.
The Nation Building Updates is a weekly event designed by government through the Information Ministry to provide stakeholders in Ghana’s democracy with detailed updates on key interventions executed by the government.
