The Ghana Police Service has announced designated centres for medical examinations for applicants who successfully passed the examination conducted on October 12, 2024.
The police, in a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, said eligible candidates for the medical examination were sent individual text messages indicating the dates and available locations for the examination, while also stating that unsuccessful candidates have been notified accordingly to try again next time.
“The Ghana Police Service wishes to inform the general public that the Police recruitment exercise which was advertised to the public in August this year, has moved to the next stage with the invitation of successful candidates for medical examination.
“The medical examination for the candidates who have been invited through SMS messages will commence on Thursday to Friday, November 7-8, 2024, in Accra,” the statement read.
The designated locations include Police Church premises, near 37 Military Hospital; Police Church premises, Odorkor; Police Interdenominational Church premises, Police Depot, Tesano; Formed Police Unit (FPU) Headquarters, Police Depot, Tesano; Detective Training School, Police Depot, Tesano and Police Academy, Police Depot, Tesano.
The statement further noted that an amount of GH¢980 will be paid for the medical examination, entreating applicants not to pay any extra money aside from the allocated medical fee.
“This is the only money to be paid during this recruitment exercise. We, therefore, wish to caution the successful candidates and the public, that anyone who demands any other payment should be considered a fraudster and must be reported to the Police,” it read.
