Suspect Hoyeefe
THE GHANA Police Service has offered a GH¢50,000 reward for information concerning the whereabouts of a suspect, identified as Hoyeefi, involved in robbery attacks at Nkaseim in the Ahafo Region.
According to a release issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Public Relation Officer, Chief Inspector, Brigitte Babanawo, following thorough investigation the police service have identified suspect Hoyeefi as the leader of the robbery gang responsible for the coordinated attacks on the Nkaseim Police Station, Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and the Asutifi Rural Bank.
“The Ghana Police Service is offering a reward of GH¢50,000 to any person who provides credible information that leads to the arrest of suspect Hoyeefi.
“Members of the public with information on his whereabouts are encouraged to contact the nearest police station or call the Police emergency numbers 191, 18555 or 112,” the statement read.
The Nkasem robbery incident occurred on December 2, 2025, when a group of armed robbers attacked the Nkasem Police Station in the Ahafo Region, seizing two AK-47 service rifles and freeing a suspect from custody.
They then proceeded to rob nearby businesses, including the Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and Asutifi Rural Bank, stealing cash and injuring an employee.
So far, five suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery. They are Mutar Kofi, Mahamadu Sagio, Shaibu Issah Jallo, Abdul Suleman, and Bukari Sulley. The police are still searching for the gang leader, Hoyeefi, and two other suspects, Dauda and Mohammed Ali who are at large.
Speaking at a press conference, CID Director-General, COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, said the assailant also stole cash amounts from the bank; GH¢14,000 from the cocoa buying company, and GH¢12,000 from the gold buying company.
COP Donkor added that during the robbery, the attackers shot and injured an employee of the Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company.
She further assured that efforts have been intensified to arrest suspect Hoyeefi, who has been identified as the gang leader and in possession of the stolen weapons, together with other firearms used during the robbery attacks.
