In a recent address during his two-day visit to the Northern, North East, and Savanna regions, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo publicly backed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the ideal candidate to lead Ghana into the fourth industrial revolution.
President Akufo-Addo praised Dr Bawumia’s exceptional leadership qualities, emphasizing his competence, loyalty, and honesty.
Akufo-Addo’s Endorsement
The President’s endorsement was not solely based on Bawumia’s roots in Mamprugu, but on his impressive track record and 16 years of service alongside Akufo-Addo.
“Dr. Bawumia is extremely competent, fit and able to be our next President,” Akufo-Addo stated, highlighting Bawumia’s capabilities, principles, and intellectual prowess.
Bawumia’s Vision for Ghana
President Akufo-Addo commended Dr Bawumia’s innovative ideas and programs tailored to propel Ghana forward.
“He is not proposing 24-hour discotheques; he is the man best qualified to lead Ghana into the fourth industrial revolution,” Akufo-Addo emphasized, underscoring Bawumia’s commitment to meaningful development.
Succession and Support
President Akufo-Addo acknowledged the significance of succession, contrasting monarchs’ uncertainty about their successors with his own knowledge of who will follow him. He urged the people of Mamprugu to support Dr Bawumia, ensuring a seamless transition and continued progress for Ghana.
