The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has announced an increment in water and electricity tariffs.
According to the Commission in a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Mami Dufie Ofori, the increase is 5.94 percent on electricity tariffs and 2.22 percent on water tariffs across board for all customers.
The new tariffs are to take effect from Tuesday, October 1, 2019.
The increment follows a review of water and electricity tariffs for the fourth quarter of 2019 which is from October to December, the statement noted.
