The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Osafohene Afua Asabea Asare has waded into calls for organizations to make packaging a priority in order to elevate the prospects of locally made goods and services on the international market.
Speaking at the Packaging, Plastics, Food Processing, and Print Exhibition (PROPAK), 2024 in Accra, she said as the country strives to capture the attention of global markets, businesses should seize the moment to refine their marketing and sales strategies to ensure products bear the hallmark of quality and distinction.
“I am confident that through our cooperative efforts, we can unlock new opportunities, conquer new markets, and realize our full potential on the world stage,” she said.
Managing Director of Montgomery Group, Alexander Angus, said Ghana is a prime destination to expand the reach of the portfolio due to its stability, prosperity and attractive business opportunities.
The second edition of the three day event also offered visitors the opportunity to explore the latest innovations and products from leading suppliers from the region, as well as international companies showcasing the newest advances in industry innovation and products that are collectively supporting the local manufacturing industry.
President of the Association of the Ghana Industries, Seth Twum Akwaboah, described packaging as very critical in the competitiveness of products which focus on quality packaging.
He, however, urged members of the Association to be dynamic and take opportunity to participate in such events to while taking advantage of the opportunities offered by AFCFTA.
