Season 2 of the award-winning reality TV series ‘Rabby’s Starlet’ will take off in June 2021, producer Rabby Bray announced on Sunday.
According to her, it will start with an audition to select contestants who will be taking part in the new season.
She described inquiries from the public regarding the show overwhelming, following the success of the maiden edition. “It is therefore only right to initiate the second edition,” she said on Sunday
“I have been so amazed by the response from Ghanaians during the first season. Many people told me otherwise when I was drawing plans to begin the show, but Ghana has been faithful. That’s why I will begin auditions for the new season in June this year, because we have many young ladies in our waiting list ready to be groomed for success,” she stated.
Season 1 of ‘Rabby’s Starlet’ reality TV series camped eight talented ladies at a luxurious mansion in Accra. It aired for 13 weeks early this year on local TV channel Homebase TV and was available to international viewers on StarTimes app.
The winner of the maiden edition, Portia Blankson, received a Hyundai Sonata and an undisclosed amount of money as her prize.
According to the creator of ‘Rabby’s Starlet’ reality TV show, the sole purpose of the programme is to groom female potentials and ready them for the challenges of the real world by undertaking both intellectual and social projects during the show and receiving counselling and advice from seasoned personalities from Corporate Ghana and the entertainment world. Some of the guests who visited the ladies in the house were award-winning actor Adjetey Anang, pioneer filmmaker Veronica Quarshie Nai, actress Jessica Williams, TV personality Jeffrey Nortey, and comedian Clemento Suarez among others.
