Rainbow Trust Foundation (RTF), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in partnership with Book Aid International, UK, and Hanson Appiakorang, the Assembly Member for Akyem Awenare Electoral Area has donated books to schools in the Eastern Region.
The donation exercise which is in line with RTF mandate, seeks to aid underprivileged communities and schools with the necessary academic materials and tools.
The beneficiary schools include Akyem Awenare District Assembly JHS, Presby Primary School, RC Primary School, Akyem Awenare District Assembly KG School, and Peace Preparatory School.
Addressing dignitaries, Hanson Appiakorang, indicated that the donation of books and other stationery supports their mandate to empower school-going children to achieve higher education.
“The Rainbow Trust Foundation has donated these items to the school to help upgrade their level of learning. This is because the foundation is big on championing education in the country. I seize this opportunity to call on the school authorities to ensure that the book is put to good use,” he said.
Similarly, the foundation with the aid of Book Aid International, UK proudly sponsored the 56th Anniversary Speech and Prize Giving Day of the Koforidua SECTECH School.
They donated books and educational materials worth GH¢ 40,000 in a very colourful ceremony.
Founder and CEO, Rainbow Trust Foundation Ghana, Joyce Ampofo reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to ensuring that children of school going age are resourced to achieve higher learning.
