Ras Kuuku
Ghanaian reggae dancehall artiste, Kojo Kurankye, aka Ras Kuuku, has urged Ghanaians to maintain the peace in the country as the country prepares to go to the polls in December.
Ras Kuuku, who won the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), in a media engagement, charged the youth especially, to shun acts of violence.
He said peace was paramount for the development of the country hence the need for Ghanaians to ensure that the country continued to enjoy the peace it had enjoyed over the years.
“Don’t fight, after voting go home, relax and look after your family because we need you and a peaceful Ghana. The only land or home I have is Ghana and when you destroy it as a result of violence where will I go?”
Giving an update on an arm injury he suffered during a performance in September, he indicated that he was strong now and was ready to thrill music fans when he got the opportunity.
“I am 125% strong, I had a dislocation on the shoulder but it was fixed at the ridge hospital, but I am in the United States for a checkup and I am also strong and ready to marsh up every stage,” he added.
