Ritual Murder Hits Bole

In what appears to be a suspected ritual murder has hit the Bole town in the Savannah Region.

It follows the discovery of a dead body at St. Kizito’s Primary ‘B’ School in Mempeasem, Choribang Electoral Area, Bole, with the victim’s body parts removed.

The victim, who is believed to be in his mid-30s, had his head and genitals chopped off by unknown persons.

The incident has created fear and panic among residents, who suspect the killing could be related to rituals because of the missing body parts.

The body of the deceased has been transported to the hospital for preservation and autopsy.

Residents of Bole have therefore called on the security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted.

Last month, the Ghana Police Service deployed a team of experts to Bole and its environs, to support the Regional Police Command in solving three reported cases of unnatural deaths in the town over the last six months.

The experts were made up of a crime scene management team, forensic experts, intelligence officers and homicide investigators.

Police visibility and patrols had been intensified with more operational officers deployed to the town and its surrounding communities.

So far, about 20 persons have since been killed in the Bole environs.
