Unidentified gunmen have robbed and killed an articulator driver, Sayibu Idi Amin, aged 52, at Naagami fuel station near Savelugu.
Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE indicates that at 6.20 am, complainant Mohammed Alhassan, a security man of Naagami fuel station at Kanshegu near Savelugu accompanied by the Manager, Musah Iddrisu, came to the police station and the former with a cut on his left arm and wounds on the body reported that on Saturday January13, 2018 at about 2 am, a group of robbers numbering more than 10, all in masks armed with guns, metal bars and cutlasses attacked him and Osman at the station.
The robbers tied them up with ropes and subjected them to severe beatings.
The robbers broke into the office of the fuel station, damaged the safe and took away monies kept there, including money the ones on them.
Immediately the robbers left, they were able to untie themselves and rushed Osman who sustained serious injuries to Savelugu Municipal Hospital for treatment.
Victim Mohammed Alhassan was treated and discharged while Osman is still on admission responding to treatment.
On their return to the station, they found driver Sayibu Idi Amin who parked his Club beer articulator vehicle with registration No. GN 3163-09 to take rest at the station dead with his hands tied behind his back with both legs were also tied together.
The body was removed and deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation, identification and autopsy.
The robbers also broke the glass at the right side door of the articulator truck.
