A 28-year-old man has been callously murdered by some unidentified armed robbers in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

The unfortunate incident happened at Santase New Site also known as Kwaadae, Tuesday dawn.

Raymond Peprah, the deceased, raised alarm when he saw the armed robbers in his house.

Minutes after raising the alarm, he was shot in the head and stomach by the hoodlums.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at a morgue of a health facility in Kumasi, pending autopsy.

Stephen Asante, an eyewitness, said Peprah and his younger brother were in their room at about 12:30am on Tuesday when they heard the footsteps of some armed robbers in their house.

Peprah moved to the veranda of the house and quickly raised alarm to scare the armed robbers.

Mr. Asante disclosed that one of the three robbers immediately fired a warning shot.

But another fired two bullets into Peprah’s head and stomach to kill him instantly.

Sensing danger, the three armed robbers fled the scene without taking anything.

The case was reported to the police and Peprah’s body was taken to the morgue.

Mr. Asante complained about the spate of armed robbery in the area in recent times.
