Top executives of the bank with members of the Chinese business community and other guests
Societe Generale, one of the leading banks in Ghana, has reiterated its support for the Chinese business community in Ghana.
Sionle Yeo, Managing Director of Societe Generale Ghana, who was speaking at the bank’s Business Banquet organized for its Chinese clients in Accra recently said, “In today’s fast changing business environment, it has become increasingly important for businesses to study and adjust to emerging economic and developmental trends towards identifying emerging investment and business opportunities.”
In view of that, he said the bank would use the Group’s international expertise to support Chinese businesses in the country.
The Business Banquet, which was attended by over 80 major Chinese companies, was to deepen relationship with the Chinese business community in Ghana.
Mr. Yeo said that the bank was poised to meet the unique needs of its clients.
Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Sun Baohong, in her address, said the Chinese Government would continue to support Ghana to deepen the existing relationship between the two countries.
She said the goal of the Chinese government is to increase bilateral trade and investments between both countries and execute new projects with medium and long-term impact.
Mrs. Baohong said cooperation between both countries would mutually beneficial.
In his address, the Chairman of Chinese Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Ghana, Lui Kang, said Chinese businesses in the country can only thrive when they collaborate with the local Ghanaian businesses to the benefit of the economy at large.
He commended the bank and urged the Chinese community in Ghana to use such platforms to grow their businesses through partnerships.
