Some NPP members patronising the hand sanitiser at the conference grounds
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has proven that the party and its leaders value the health status of their members.
This follows the party’s decision to provide hand sanitisers at the venue of the party’s annual national delegates’ conference held on Saturday.
Hand sanitisers were seen positioned at every corner of the Koforidua Technical University (KTU), the venue for the event.
The rationale behind the positioning of the hand sanitisers at the event grounds was mainly to help prevent a possible spread of diseases.
A health personnel who only gave his name as Kwaku Frimpong underscored the importance of the provision of hand sanitisers at public programmes.
According to him, some diseases are spread easily through body contacts, especially when the carrier of the disease shakes hands with another person.
The health expert, therefore, lauded the NPP for having the vision to provide the hand sanitisers.
He also entreated other political parties in the country to emulate NPP’s example to help prevent the spread of diseases during party events.
