Sarkodie’s Paris Performance Cancelled

Rapper Sarkodie’s highly anticipated performance at the Station Afrique (Africa Fan Zone) event in Paris was cancelled on Friday, August 9, due to unresolved contractual issues.

The agency responsible for Sarkodie’s international engagements, EaglePlug, released a statement explaining the reasons behind the last-minute cancellation.

According to the statement, the event organisers failed to meet key contractual obligations that had been agreed upon two months before the event.

Despite EaglePlug’s efforts to resolve the issues and ensure Sarkodie’s participation, the necessary conditions for the performance were not met.

“EaglePlug, in good faith, took every possible step to ensure that Sarkodie and his team could travel to Paris in anticipation of the agency honouring its part of the agreement.

However, despite repeated assurances from the agency that all issues would be resolved upon our arrival in Paris, the situation remained unchanged,” the statement read.

The cancellation was a disappointment to fans who were eagerly awaiting the rapper’s performance at the Station Afrique event, part of the larger Africa Fan Zone festival in Paris.

EaglePlug extended an apology to Sarkodie’s fans, acknowledging the frustration caused by the unforeseen circumstances.

The agency also reassured fans that they are committed to rescheduling the performance when the terms of the contract are fully respected and conditions are more favourable.

They emphasised that Sarkodie and his team remain dedicated to delivering outstanding performances once all contractual obligations are met.
