There are different types of leaders. A can-do leader is one who makes things happen. A can-do leader is relentless in his pursuit of success. He is steadfast! He keeps and maintains the aim till it is fulfilled. What makes a person a can-do leader? A can-do leader has some secrets that make him a success. A can-do leader has some victory secrets that make him into a living wonder. A victory secret is a revelation that brings you victory. Such secrets are indeed the wisdom of God. A can-do leader needs the wisdom of God. This wisdom is what will turn him into a wonder!
- A can-do leader does not mind being in the minority. A can-do leader has convictions. He is ready to follow his convictions, even if he is in the minority.
But the men that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
Numbers 13:31
- A can-do leader has an independent opinion about what to do.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Numbers 13:30
- A can-do leader sees good and positive things. And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
Numbers 14:7
- A can-do leader goes into action at once.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Numbers 13:30
- A can-do leader knows that every project can, and should start immediately if it is to succeed.
He knows that visions often die when they are delayed.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Numbers 13:30
- A can-do leader does not allow negative people to influence him, but he rather influences them.
And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: “and said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, the land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land.
Numbers 14:6-7
- A can-do leader has faith in God and is ready to take a risk.
If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Numbers 14:8 You may not be able to tell whether a venture will succeed or not till you take the risk of trying. Many great innovations we know about today came about because a can-do leader took a risk.
- A can-do leader does not see himself as a grasshopper. This could lead to all the negative effects of an inferiority complex. If you see yourself as a grasshopper, you have already told yourself you are unable to tackle the task ahead. That is not the spirit of a can-do leader!
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Numbers 13:33
- A can-do leader is not intimidated by the enemy but has a spirit of boldness. This is what makes him a can-do man. Intimidation tells you “You cannot do it!” A can-do leader has overcome that spirit and will not let the enemy triumph over him.
Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not.
Numbers 14:9
- A can-do leader will be vindicated in the long run. A can-do leader is not afraid to embrace new ideas or try new things. These lead to development of new ideas, new products and new ways of doing things. When the end product comes up, the great intentions of the can-do leader are manifest. Wisdom is justified of her children! May you persist till the final product is out!
But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
Numbers 14:10
