Sekyere Kusi Sec/Tech Appeals For Infrastructure Support

An abandoned project

Sekyere Kusi Senior High Technical School in Sekyere Kontonkyi, located in the Sekyere Kumawu District of the Ashanti Region, is crying out for help as it battles major infrastructure challenges.

According to the Assembly Member for the Sekyere Kontonkyi Electoral Area, Alex Antwi, the school is in desperate need of dormitories and classrooms to create a more conducive environment for both teaching and learning.

Since its establishment, the school has struggled with inadequate facilities, affecting the quality of education and student welfare.

In response to the situation, local traditional authorities are taking action. A community fundraising event has been scheduled for July 27, 2025, to raise funds for critical school projects.

The Chief of Sekyere Kontonkyi, Obuohiakuma Osei Onin Pobi II, has also added his voice to the call for support, urging stakeholders—including government agencies, individuals, and NGOs—to come to the school’s aid.

This appeal highlights a broader issue of under-resourced schools in rural communities and the urgent need for collaborative efforts to improve education infrastructure

Community members, alumni, and the general public are encouraged to donate or participate in the upcoming fundraiser to help provide a better future for the students of Sekyere Kusi Senior High Technical School.
