Serwaa Boateng Reps Ghana At World Miss University

Linda Serwaa Boateng

Linda Serwaa Boateng, a 24-year-old final year student of Central University, is hoping to make her country proud at the 2017 edition of World Miss University pageant in Cambodia.

The World Miss University is an international beauty contest held annually in Seoul, South Korea, since 1986, with an average of about 70 contestants every year.

The event is to select World Miss University peace corp representatives.

As an event organised by the International Association of University Presidents after the United Nations named 1986 The Year of Peace, the organising committee dispatches peace missions to regions in conflict like Kosovo and Rwanda. These days, the event is organised by World Miss University Organising Committee which has its headquarters in Manhattan, New York, United States.

This year’s event is the 28th edition taking place in Cambodia. Linda is trying her best out there to hoist her country’s flag high. A model, she previously contested in this year’s Miss Ghana competition all the way to the grand finale. She is hopeful this time she will wear the crown.

The final showdown for the pageant is slated for coming Wednesday, December 20 at Kohpich Theatre. But Linda is lacking votes from her country Ghana. She needs more votes. She has been asking for support and Ghanaians can vote for her via the link http://www.wmu.world/pages/contestants/contestants_detail.asp?num=28&userseq=563. Or just log on to www.wmu.world and find her name and vote.
