Shoe Sellers Association Elects New Executives

THE RAILWAY Branch of the Ashanti Regional Second Hand Shoe Sellers Association (ARSHSSA) has successfully elected their new executives to properly steer the affairs of the group in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The election process, described by members of the group as peaceful and successful, was supervised by top officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) led by Mr. Lucas A. Yiryel.

By their election, the newly elected executives have been given a two-year mandate to stay in office and implement their programmes and policies to help improve the fortunes of the ARSHSSA.

The historic election was held in Kumasi on July 4, this year, and there were wild jubilations across the election venue after the EC team announced the names of those who emerged as winners.

They newly elected executives included Mr. Yaw Adutwum, chairman; Mr. Yaw Mofa, vice chairman; Mr. Samuel Boakye Yiadon, secretary; and Mr. Kwame Amoah Ababio, financial secretary.

The rest of the executives are Mr. Joseph Bobie Ansah, treasurer; Mr. Francis Oteng, porter; Mr. Anthony Efa Bonsu, public relations officer (PRO); and Mr. Ato Kwamena, the organizer of the group.

Beaming with broad smiles, the newly elected chairman, Mr. Yaw Adutwum, assured the group that his team would unite the rank and file of the association and also work assiduously to improve their fortunes.

He, however, stated emphatically that law and order would be the order of the day in the association during their two-year tenure, saying indiscipline would not be entertained in the association.

Mr. Yaw Adutwum, who is much respected and adored in the group, also assured them to practice a transparent administration where opinions and concerns of every member would be respected.

On his part, the vice chairman, Mr. Yaw Amofa, promised that the entire executives would unite as one people with a common purpose to help their chairman to lead the group into affluence.
