Barima Sidney
Barima Sidney, Ghana’s most controversial hiplife artiste, released his latest single titled ‘One Day’ on Monday, January 7.
The video of the single was shot in Suncity and Soweto in South Africa.
The music video was directed by McLord Ice Impraim and produced by Kin Dee, who also featured in the video.
During the latter part of 2018, he released three singles titled ‘Kpeeeh’, ‘Gwara Gwara’ and ‘Mpina Twi Yede’.
He began his musical career with Native Funk Lords in 1994 before he formed Nananom with late Omanhene Pozo and Ohemaa.
He released his first solo album titled ‘Tinana’ in 2001, followed by ‘Apuskeleke’ in 2003.
In 2004, Sidney released ‘Scent No’, another controversial song which educated people about sanitation which was adopted as a campaign song by the NPP.
Sidney returned in 2005 with another controversial hit album, ‘Obia Nye Obia’. He also authored songs like ‘Africa Money’, ‘Kyere Me’, ‘I See You Ky?’, ‘Monhye Nkom’,’ Africa Money’, Ma Sweetie’, ‘Paanoo Shew’, ‘Colour TV’ and many more.
