Simi and Adekunle Gold
Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has shared the reason she fell in love with her husband, fellow musician Adekunle Gold.
In a recent social media post, Simi revealed that it was Adekunle Gold’s graphic design and photoshopping skills that initially captured her heart.
The revelation came after Adekunle Gold edited a water bottle out of a photo of Nigerian chess master, Tunde Onakoya, at Onakoya’s request on X (formerly Twitter).
Impressed by his editing skills, Simi reposted the photo and humorously commented, “This was why I fell for you. I don’t know who sent you to start singing.”
Before becoming a successful musician, Adekunle Gold was known for his impressive photoshop skills. His talent in graphic design led to him creating the logo for Olamide’s record label, YBNL Nation, where he eventually signed as an artiste.
Simi and Adekunle Gold tied the knot on January 9, 2019 in a private ceremony in Lagos. The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
Simi’s lighthearted comment reflects the deep connection and admiration that continues to thrive in their relationship.
