Ghanaian music entrepreneur and streetwear aficionado, Smallgod, whose real name is Nana Kwame Appiasei, made headlines by acquiring King Promise’s ‘True To Self’ album cover for GH¢500,000.
The transaction took place at King Promise’s album listening event held on Friday at Country Club, Trassacco.
Initially priced at GH¢100,000, the album cover’s value skyrocketed to GH¢500,000 following Smallgod’s bid, ultimately securing the purchase.
The event saw a gathering of notable celebrities who came out to show their support for King Promise, including Efia Odo, James Gardiner, DJ Mensah, Angel Town, Kill Beatz, AJ Sarpong, Dancegod Lloyd, and other prominent figures.
During the album listening session, King Promise unveiled the much-anticipated tracklist for ‘True To Self’, which includes songs like ‘Believe’, ‘Continental’, ‘Permission Granted’, ‘Paris’, ‘Perfect Combi’, ‘Paranoid’, ‘Ringing In My Head’, ‘9:45’, ‘Mad Oh’, ‘Favorite Story’, ‘Own It’, and ‘Terminator’.
The album features collaborations with both local and international artistes such as Sarkodie, Olivetheboy, Lasmid, Fave and Ladipoe, promising a diverse and engaging musical experience.
‘True To Self’ was released under an exclusive license to 5K Records Limited/Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited.
With his signature smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics, King Promise is set to enthrall audiences once again with this latest offering.
