THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has described the ‘Fix Ghana Agenda’ as a political ‘coup’ and said it is to discredit the government unjustifiably.

He has, therefore, passionately appealed to players in the movie industry to always weigh the issues carefully and not support any propaganda that would create unnecessary tension and retard the progress of the country.

The Nhyiaeso MP made the appeal when he interacted with some popular movie stars in the Ashanti Region at the Royal Park Hotel in Kumasi.

Nicknamed as ‘Sticker’ in the political circles, the outspoken lawmaker stated that the Akufo-Addo-led administration is living up to expectation by delivering to the satisfaction of the majority of the citizenry.

He said there is no way anyone can hold that every problem in Ghana has been solved but added also that on the average, the NPP administration has done well and should not be discredited without justification.

Dr. Amoah said despite the significant impact of the COVID-19, Ghana had made some gains in all sectors of the economy under President Akufo-Addo, and intimated, “I don’t see the reason to demonstrate because President Akufo-Addo is already fixing the country.”

“Those behind the FixTheCountry demonstration have an ulterior motive and I am telling them that they have failed in advance,” he noted, and added that the government had taken bold and pragmatic steps to solve the recent power crisis once-and-for-all.

“Very soon all the challenges being faced in the power sector will stop,” the Nhyiaeso MP intimated, and said the government will continue to work hard to ease the pressure on the public.
