Stonebwoy , Beenie Man
Popular dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, known in the music scene as Stonebwoy, will this December host the 5th edition of his annual musical concert dubbed “Bhim Concert” in Accra.
Being organised to celebrate the achievements of Stonebwoy in the Ghanaian music industry as well as to entertain his myriad music fans, BEATWAVES gathered that organisers are yet to announce the date, venue and artistes billed to rock the event.
Bhim Concert is perhaps among the well organised musical concerts in Ghana where the very best of artistes with smashing hits are assembled on one platform to entertain thousands of music enthusiasts.
Stonebwoy, who is the headline artiste, will this year rock the stage alongside award-winning Jamaican dancehall artiste Beenie Man, born Anthony Moses Davis.
With Beenie Man as one of the performing international act on the bill, the concert is expected to attract a large following of music enthusiasts from all walks of life. The Jamaican dancehall artiste’s first concert in Ghana was in 2005.
The two celebrated Ghanaian and Jamaican dancehall artistes, who have performed on a number of international events, are expected to put out spirited performances in order to make the concert a memorable one.
Stonebwoy, in a Facebook post on December 1 wrote: “Glad to announce that The King of the Dancehall, Beenie Man will be joining us in Ghana this December for the #BHIMCONCERT.”
The event will also feature an incredible line-up of home-based hiplife, hiphop, highlife and afrobeat artistes who will thrill music fans to their satisfaction.
The Bhim Concert is part of Stonebwoy’s vision to showcase Ghana’s musical richness while promoting his enviable brand, local artistes (both established and up-and-coming), or bands and connect with his grassroots consumers.
Stonebwoy recently organised a three-city musical tour to entertain music fans in United Kingdom.
He performed at the O2 Academy Islington in London, the Academy 3 in Birmingham, and the O2 Institute 3 in Manchester.
