Stop Attacking Eric Adjei With Untruths – Bono Citizens To Ahafo Youth Organizer

Eric Adjei

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. Eric Adjei ESQ., is a unity player and someone who does not bring division between regions so for the NDC Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Mr. Sulemana Masahudu, to declare him as an “Enemy of Ahafo” is unacceptable, the Bono Regional Citizens have stated.

“While we acknowledge the right of every citizen to hold and express opinions, we find this declaration unfortunate, unwarranted, and inconsistent with the values of mutual respect and regional harmony that both Bono and Ahafo share. It must be emphasized that the fight against illegal mining, commonly referred to as galamsey, is not a personal or partisan battle but a national responsibility that demands the support of all. Respected leaders such as Hon. Alhaji Collins Dauda of Asutifi South, Hon. Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo of Asutifi North, and Mr. Eric Adjei have all played key roles in advancing the cause of environmental protection and sustainable development. To label one of them an enemy simply for echoing a national concern is, to say the least, misguided”Mustapha Omar Copson, Deputy Youth Organiser of Bono Region made it known in a strong worded statement.

This comes after Sulemana said, “For peddling falsehoods against two noble MP’s regarding the confrontation between the military and the youth at the Hwediem Police Station, we hereby declare Eric Adjei as ENEMY OF AHAFO”.

In addition, the statement from the Bono Regional Citizens “urged all parties and individuals to desist from statements that breed division and rather focus on issues that promote development, youth empowerment, and national peace. At this critical moment, let us remember that truth is not hostility and sincerity is not betrayal. Mr. Eric Adjei remains a proud son of Ghana, a visionary leader whose work continues to benefit both Bono and Ahafo Regions, and a true advocate for progress, peace and prosperity.”

He concluded, “Furthermore, it must be noted that Mr. Eric Adjei’s love and support for both the Bono and Ahafo Regions are long-standing and well-recognized. The fact that the Board Chairman of NEIP hails from Ahafo is a living testament to the unity, cooperation, and shared destiny of our two regions. We are bound by history, family, and purpose, not rivalry. We also wish to state that Mr. Eric Adjei harbours no ill will or animosity toward Mr. Masahudu or any other party involved.

“His commitment to peace, unity, and collaboration remains firm and consistent. Indeed, I personally reached out to Mr. Sulemana Masahudu in a spirit of calm and reconciliation, encouraging him to choose peace and maturity over confrontation, because that is what our government and our nation need most at this time. Our collective progress depends not on who shouts the loudest but on who chooses peace when tempers rise. We, the citizens of the Bono Region, therefore call for calm, mutual respect, and responsible public engagement.”

MR. ERIC ADJEI IS NOT AN ENEMY OF AHAFO. LET US FOCUS ON UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT.
The attention of concerned citizens of the Bono Region has been drawn to a recent statement by the Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Mr. Sulemana Masahudu, declaring Mr. Eric Adjei, Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), an “Enemy of Ahafo.” While we acknowledge the right of every citizen to hold and express opinions, we find this declaration unfortunate, unwarranted, and inconsistent with the values of mutual respect and regional harmony that both Bono and Ahafo share.

To label one of them an enemy simply for echoing a national concern is, to say the least, misguided.

One may even ask, what exactly happens after such a declaration?
If Ahafo declares Mr. Eric Adjei an enemy, should Bono Region also declare Mr. Masahudu an enemy of Bono for threatening one of its own? And in that unfortunate cycle of pronouncements, are we helping the government and the nation in the fight against galamsey, or are we simply creating needless chaos where unity is most
needed? Such public outbursts only distract attention from the real national task of combating illegal mining, tackling youth unemployment, and building bridges of development across our regions.

As Chief Executive Officer of NEIP, Mr. Eric Adjei has been instrumental in transforming the lives of thousands of young Ghanaians, including many within the Ahafo Region, through the Adwumawura Programme and other innovative initiatives. His leadership at NEIP continues to empower young entrepreneurs, create sustainable jobs, and inspire innovation across Ghana. It is therefore deeply unfair and counterproductive to malign a leader whose work directly contributes to national progress and regional growth.

Furthermore, it must be noted that Mr.

His commitment to peace, unity, and collaboration remains firm and consistent. We, the citizens of the Bono Region, therefore call for calm, mutual respect, and responsible public engagement.

We urge all parties and individuals to desist from statements that breed division and rather focus on issues that promote development, youth empowerment, and national peace. At this critical moment, let us remember that truth is not hostility and sincerity is not betrayal. Mr. Eric Adjei remains a proud son of Ghana, a visionary leader whose work continues to benefit both Bono and Ahafo Regions, and a true advocate for progress, peace and prosperity.
