Stop Intimidating WASSCE Candidates – Yaw Dabo

Yaw Dabo

Kumawood actor, Yaw Dabo, has raised concerns about using military officers to supervise this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

In a viral video circulating on social media, Dabo said security presence in exam halls is intimidating candidates and disrupting their focus.

“I have seen a video online and I am saddened by it. Has it gotten to the point where they are using military personnel as invigilators during WASSCE? The man in the video, going up and down, checking what they have written, is causing fear and panic. How can they have a sound mind to write their papers,” he asked.

He urged GES to ease the pressure on students, arguing that exam malpractice is not unique to them.

“Everyone has cheated during exams, including the police and the fire service. You people should stop putting pressure on these kids. This thing doesn’t happen to kids abroad. Most of these kids won’t even get jobs whether they pass or not,” he alleged.
