SUBSEA 7 Volta Contractors, a leading contractor in seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and services in the oil and gas industry, has opened its Accra Bureau.
The bureau, located on the first floor of the Emerald House No.2 Gowa Lane–Roman Ridge, was opened on Monday, November 26, 2018.
It’s being run by 10 Ghanaian citizens with one expatriate, and expected to meet the needs of its clients and stakeholders in the country.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Subsea 7 Volta Contractors, Jean Cahuzac, said the company was hopeful of engaging the services of about 50 Ghanaians over the next three years at the bureau.
He stressed the need to respect the country’s local content regulation, adding that his outfit was actively promoting the participation of locals in its operations in partnership of a local firm RDFC.
Subsea 7 Volta Contractors currently has contract with Tullow to provide engineering, procurement, construction and installation at the Jubilee Oilfield.
The company, BUSINESS GUIDE gathered, provides cost-effective technical solutions that ensure the execution of complex projects in deepwater and challenging environments.
Acting CEO of Petroleum Commission, Egbert Faibille, in a brief remark, commended the company for opening an office in Accra.
According to him, the opening of the Accra Bureau is an expression of confidence in the Ghanaian economy, especially the petroleum industry.
