Supreme Saviour School Wins Competition

A class six pupil of the Supreme Saviour International School, Joyce Asamoah Boateng, has been adjudged winner of this year’s Independence Day Essay Writing Competition in the Ashanti Region.

The young girl beat students of SSNIT Presby Model School, Vicande School, UNISCO International School, Saint John of the Cross International School and Radco School.

Joyce and her school located at Tanoso in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region received a cash prize of GH¢10,000, certificate, trophy and 100 exercise books.

The competition, which was open to all primary and junior high schools in the region, was organized under the auspices of the former Deputy Minister of Education, Barbara Asher Ayisi.

It was meant to test the knowledge and understanding of primary school pupils on the Independence Day celebration.

Joyce was among finalists selected from seven schools in the region to write an essay on an Independence Day celebration they have witnessed.

At the end of the competition, the article of Ms. Asamoah Boateng of Supreme Saviour International School was adjudged the best.

The Supreme Saviour International School was founded in 1991 by Bishop Dr Moses Gyawu.

It’s one of the Grade A schools in the Ashanti Region and among the best performing schools in the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).
