Global money transfer company, Taptap Send, has unveiled a promotion to celebrate its return as well as welcome back its customers to the digital platform.

The special promotion dubbed, Sanbra Promo, will give customers a chance to win a free flight to Ghana when they send £/$/€1,000 through Taptap Send.

Customers also stand a chance of winning bonus credits for their next transfer and recipients in Ghana can also win prizes from a giveaway pot of GH¢100,000.

Head of Taptap Send Africa, Darryl Mawutor Abraham, speaking at a media engagement in Accra said, “the promotion is to say thank you to our customers for their patience and loyalty.”

Mr Abraham further announced that Taptap Send has also launched a groundbreaking new feature—Charities- which allows customers to directly support meaningful causes across Ghana.

He said, so far, two charities, including Heal Komfo Anokye Charity which is on the app is making it easier than ever to give back and create a positive impact.

He further added that for every $1 sent, Taptap Send will match it up to GH¢1m.

Taptap Send officially resumed its services in Ghana on December 4, 2024, following a brief suspension by the Bank of Ghana.

The temporary suspension was due to a directive from the Bank of Ghana, which required Taptap Send to pause partnerships with local banks and fintechs for one month concerning its newly launched wallet product for EU/UK customers.

While no laws were breached, Taptap Send respected the regulatory process and now confirms that its operations and regulatory status remain intact.

Customers in the UK, Europe, Canada, the United States, and the UAE can once again send money seamlessly to their loved ones in Ghana

“We are fully committed to complying with all relevant regulations and we are excited to resume transfers to Ghana for the thousands of customers who have relied on us for their money transfers over the years.” Mr. Abraham said.

He reiterated the point that Taptap Send remains dedicated to serving the Ghanaian diaspora, offering secure, reliable, and affordable money transfer services.

Ghana is a key market for TaptapSend, and the company is excited to continue innovating to connect families and empower communities across borders.
