Telecel Launches SME Month

Telecel Ghana has launched its 2025 Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Month to support the growth and sustainability of small and medium enterprises for the youth across the country.

This year’s SME Month, focused on the youth in entrepreneurship, is themed “Connecting the next generation of entrepreneurs”.

Telecel Director of Enterprise Business, Tawa Bolarin mentioned that this year’s programme is a celebration of vision, resilience, growth and the boundless creativity of Ghana’s next generation of entrepreneurs.

“At telecel, we believe the future of Ghana’s economy lies in the hands of these young business leaders. They are using technology, they have fresh ideas, they’re innovative, and they have models to solve real challenge,” she said.

She stressed that the role of telecel is to provide the platforms for the growth of these businesses and also help them thrive.

She further stressed that three specially designed hero products have been introduced to equip these SMEs with practical tools for business growth noting that these solutions were produced based on insights from young entrepreneurs on what can help them grow.

She said, “Our SME Month 2025 hero products are growth enablers for SMEs and entrepreneurs, providing affordable, bundled solutions that combine connectivity, digital tools, and online visibility”.

Again, she added that telecel will offer small businesses the resources to stay connected and reach out to their customers in order to compete in the digital economy.

Head of SME, Alfred Neizer, elaborated on the hero products designed for SMEs thus the Boss Plan, which is designed for young entrepreneurs who run their hustle on the move, affordable data, social media bundles, voice, and even a self-service SMS marketing portal have been designed, so that business owners can stay connected and keep their  customers close.

He said, “With upgraded website packages starting at just GH¢250, we are helping SMEs build visibility and trust in the digital marketplace”.
