The Secret Is Hard Work – Kwamena Idan

Kwamena Idan

One of the country’s finest radio presenters, Kwamena Idan, will be celebrating his 15 years on Adom FM in the coming weeks.

The award-winning radio presenter and one of the finest gospel show hosts on radio told BEATWAVES that he owes his success to listeners of his show.

He is the host of the award-winning programmes, ‘Adom Live Worship’ on Adom FM from Monday to Friday, and ‘Adom Gospel Count Down’ which airs on Sundays.

With twenty five years of solid experience in the media, Kwamena Idan, who joined Adom FM in 2007, said he started his radio career with Windy Bay FM at Winneba in 1997, then moved to Mett FM (now Angel FM) in Kumasi in 2003, and in 2005 he joined Jet FM (now Light FM), also in Kumasi.

Credited with a number of awards, which include Live Worship Host of the Year (RTP award), Radio Pastor of the Year, among others, Kwamena Idan said the secret behind his success was purely hard work. “There is no secret for what I do. The only secret is hard work, discipline and focus,” he said.

The Winneba-born presenter, who described himself as someone who is highly motivated and determined to lead the market, said “radio broadcasting in Ghana today is all about research, creativity and direction.”
