The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has called on Emirates Airlines to actively promote Ghana as a tourism destination by showcasing the country’s cultural and natural attractions on its flights, particularly during take-off and landing, as part of efforts to boost international visitor interest and arrivals.
The call was made when the newly appointed Country Manager of Emirates Airlines, Mr. Salem Almana, paid a courtesy visit to the minister to strengthen relations and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration between the airline and the ministry.
Madam Gomashie described Emirates Airlines as a valued partner and a true friend of Ghana, commending the airline for its consistency, professionalism and high standards of service delivery.
The minister further praised Emirates for setting a benchmark in customer service excellence, stressing that improved service delivery remains a key priority for Ghana’s tourism and hospitality sector. She expressed optimism that increased interaction between Ghanaians and Emirates would facilitate the transfer of best practices in customer service across the industry.
In his remarks, Mr. Almana emphasised the importance of collaboration with the ministry, noting that Emirates is keen on working closely with government to enhance the travel experience, promote Ghana internationally and support sustained growth in tourist arrivals. He reaffirmed the airline’s readiness to engage constructively with the ministry to improve services and deepen its contribution to the tourism sector.
Both the ministry and Emirates Airlines expressed optimism about future engagements aimed at strengthening Ghana’s tourism profile locally and internationally.
