Ebo Taylor receiving his award from Trigmatic while KOD and AI look on
Trigmatic has honoured legendary highlife musician Ebo Taylor.
This was at the 2019 annual Osagyefo’s Night Concert held on Sunday at Alliance Française in Accra.
The rapper and singer took about 10 minutes off his performance to celebrate Ebo Taylor, calling him on stage, and together with KOD and AI, he presented a Kente sash and plaque to him in honour of his contributions to music.
After that presentation, Trigmatic, AI, KOD and Henry Taylor (Ebo Taylor’s son) took to stage to perform a single on his new album titled ‘Palaver’.
Osagyefo’s Night is an annual concert that seeks to celebrate Nkrumah’s contributions to music and the creative arts in Ghana. The concert was sponsored by Fan Yogo and GIHOC Distilleries.
It was attended by many music enthusiasts, Trigmatic’s fans and Nkrumahists who gathered to celebrate Ghana’s first president on his birthday.
The Osagyefo’s Night is an initiative from Trigmatic which is held on September 21 every year.
This year’s edition had performance from other artistes as Epixode, Ancient, AI, AJ Nelson & The Africa Band, KOD, Dela Botri, the Afro-rock band Ozzie and others.
Trigmatic performed a number of his old and new songs off his upcoming album, ‘The Eighth Element’, which would come out on October 8.
