Photography duo, Twinsdntbeg, has received an official nomination for Music Film of the Year at the Black Stars International Film Festival (BSIFF) 2025 for their collaboration with Grammy nominee Rocky Dawuni titled ‘Rise’.
This project aims to transform the creation and global perception of African music visuals, showcasing cinematography that highlights deep-rooted African themes and a global message.
The film conveys themes of resilience, unity, and spiritual awakening, complemented by Dawuni’s uplifting music, featuring stunning visuals of Ghana’s landscapes and the struggles of everyday people.
In a post on Instagram, Twinsdntbeg received applause from followers for the new feet achieved with the nomination.
Under the post, Rocky Dawuni praised them for the achievement, saying, “Congratulations on an amazing work of art!”
Rocky Dawuni released the single and music video for ‘Rise’ in August 2024 as the first preview of his new album, which is distributed by Aquarian Records through Tuff Gong International. The song was inspired by the need to elevate hope and consciousness, and has received global attention, including a 2025 Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Performance and it recent nomination for a BSIFF award for the music film.
