UK Authorities Deny Seizing £15m From Ghanaian Politician

In response to circulating rumors on social media, the UK Financial Intelligence Unit and the Border Agency have categorically denied any knowledge or record of £15 million being impounded from an individual hailing from Ghana.

After investigations prompted by inquiries from Citi FM to verify the claims, both agencies confirmed that there is no information regarding the alleged seizure of such a significant amount of money from any Ghanaian individual.

Speculations on social media had suggested that a notable member of the ruling New Patriotic Party had been detained in the UK, with reports indicating that £15 million had been confiscated from the individual who they claim he is politically exposed.

Amidst the swirling rumors, the UK Financial Intelligence Unit and the Border Agency have moved swiftly to dispel the misinformation, clarifying that there is no basis to the claims regarding the substantial sum of money purportedly seized from the Ghanaian individual.

This swift response from the UK authorities serves as a reminder of the importance of verifying information before circulating it, particularly in the age of social media where false narratives can spread rapidly.
