Customers of UMB can now use the instant visa cards at any of its branches nationwide.
Coming on the heels of an impressive financial performance in the 2016 financial year, the bank says it would focus mainly on creating value for its customers.
UMB currently has a portfolio of four VISA cards.
These include the UMB Visa Classic Card, which gives UMB customers 24/7 access to their funds on UMB ATMs, other Visa branded ATMs and Point of Sale (Pos) terminals worldwide, and the UMB VISA Prepaid Card, which offers both customers and non-customers of the bank the opportunity to preload cash onto the card for online shopping and other transactions.
Also, the UMB VISA Business Card, which enables business owners to control how, when and where payments are authorized for their employees’ cards, is available.
The UMB VISA Platinum Card also gives high-end exclusive benefits to cardholders.
Speaking at the UMB instant VISA cards launch event, the CEO of UMB, John Awuah, said the bank’s strategic priority is to invest in areas that bring convenience and speed to its customers.
“In November last year, we introduced three additional VISA cards to cater for the unique needs of all segments of our customer base. I am very proud that we are enhancing our Visa card offering so that our customers can now receive their VISA cards within minutes at all UMB branches,” Mr. Awuah said.
Mr. Awuah assured all customers and other stakeholders of UMB that the bank was committed to investing in the necessary infrastructure and technology that would ultimately benefit the customer.
“Let me state in no uncertain terms that our utmost priority is to exceed the expectations of our customers and to enhance their experience at every UMB touch point. The introduction of instant VISA cards is just one of several initiatives that we will implement in 2017 to enhance the speed with which we deliver our services,” added Mr. Awuah.
Head of Card Operations of UMB, Irene Adjei-Bisa, also said UMB VISA cards come with the most advanced chip and pin technology with enhanced security for cardholders.
She encouraged UMB customers and non-customers to walk into any UMB branch and request for instant VISA cards that suit their needs.
