Victoria wearing face mask for one of the ladies in the market
International model Victoria Michaels and officials of Linfra Ghana Limited in the spirit of giving during the festive season donated over a thousand free face masks and food items to the underserved porters and others in the Madina Zongo market in Accra.
The initiative was part of a corporate social responsibility intervention by Linfra Ghana Ltd in partnership with Victoria Michaels and her Fashion Connection Africa’s 1 Million Masks project.
The 1 Million Masks project was launched in September 2020 to ensure safe cover is provided for rural folks and all other persons against the spread of COVID-19.
It is also the model’s initiative to give back to society the best way she can.
So far over one hundred thousand masks have been distributed to citizens in deprived rural-urban communities across the country.
At the Madina market during the festive season, it was both a beautiful and emotional experience to watch how the people in the market desperately wanted the nose masks and food items being distributed.
According to Victoria, she and her team will continue to do their best to protect lives.
The mask sharing, she indicated, would continue in 2021 and therefore tasked more corporate bodies to come on board to support her and the team.
“More donations and contribution is very welcome so that more lives can be saved from the deadly coronavirus pandemic,” she indicated.
