Yaw Amponsah Marfo being administered the vaccine
THE EXECUTIVE Director of the VIP Jeoun Transport Company Limited, Yaw Amponsah Marfo, popularly known as Agya Wiase, has joined other prominent personalities in the country to take his jab of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine (Covishield) following its roll out in the country’s epicentres on March 2.
He visited the Kaneshie Polyclinic in Accra, where he took his shot of the vaccine last Thursday.
He was accompanied by the Managing Director of the company, Adakabre Frimpong Manso who also took a jab.
Mr. Marfo on arriving at the health facility was warmly welcomed by the officials there and quickly taken through the process.
Some personal details of his including his name, date of birth, sex, district and place of vaccination were taken after he had shown a valid national identification card.
He then moved to the next stage where he was given the vaccine and afterwards posed for a photo with Mr. Adakabre and some of the health officials.
In an interview with DAILY GUIDE shortly after taking his vaccine, the VIP Jeoun Executive Director said he was motivated by the example set by President Akufo-Addo and other high-profile personalities since the national rollout of the vaccine to also get himself vaccinated.
Asked about his thoughts on the vaccine, Mr. Marfo expressed no fear in the potency of the vaccine as being speculated by some conspiracy theorists and admonished all and sundry to get vaccinated because “it is for your own good.”
