Speculations making the rounds that members of the Black Queens are lesbians have stirred its captain Elizabeth Addo to react.
The senior national women football side have been smeared with the lesbianism tag; with students of the game predicting doom for the team due to the negative act.
However, skipper of the side Elizabeth Addo has poured cold water on the widespread rumour that they have carnal knowledge of themselves in camp at home and during international tournaments.
She denied the allegation saying, “We don’t engage in lesbianism acts, it has never happened in our camp.”
The skipper added that “This perception is borne out of how female footballers dress and walk but trust me, I have not seen any Ghanaian footballer who is a lesbian.”
Addo has been shortlisted for the African female footballer of the year in the forthcoming Glo CAF Awards slated for Abuja, Nigeria next January.
The Queens returned home with bronze after going past South Africa 1-0 in the last women’s Nations Cup in Cameroun few weeks ago.
