THE PARAMOUNT Chief of Osudoku Traditional Area, Nene Aadegbor Nmgmowuyaa Kwesi Animle has disassociated himself from plotters of the notorious Western Togoland secession.
According to him, he has no link or whatsoever with the group who are fighting to break away from Ghana.
Reports indicate that a chief in the Osudoku Traditional Area, Nene Tawiah Ablom, Head of Dorsi Clan Division has been named in connection with the separatist group.
The situation has led to rumour that the Paramount Chief may also be involved in the activities of the Western Togoland group as a result of their relationship.
However, addressing a press conference over the weekend, the Paramount Chief stated that “Considering his position and relationship with me, it has become expedient to come out and disassociate myself and the traditional council entirely form this diabolic agenda.”
He served notice that Osudoku Traditional Area has been part a nd will continue to be part of Ghana forever.
The Paramount Chief also warned all the sub chiefs and people, especially the youth not to get themselves involve in any unproductive and unlawful venture ‘since anyone who does so do that at his risk.”
“Let me emphasis again that Osudoku can never support this exercise which threatens the peace and security of this peaceful area and Ghana as a whole. I hereby urge the security agencies to do their work,” according to him.
Nene Animle seized the opportunity to denied allegations leveled against him in the Yogwasi land issue, saying that “for the fact that the persons who are making the unfounded allegations have sued the traditional council at the Tema High Court. I am waiting for the matter to get to it logical conclusion at the court.”
