Female artiste, Wendy Shay and award-winning gospel musician, Nacee, brought star power to the campaign launch of independent parliamentary candidate for Asante Akyem North, Ohene Kwame Frimpong.

The event, held in Agogo, drew a massive crowd as both musicians entertained supporters with their hit songs.

The campaign launch marked a significant moment in the constituency, where O.K. Frimpong has gained popularity for his philanthropic contributions.

Residents turned out in large numbers to back the candidate, who has been praised for his efforts to uplift vulnerable communities in the area.

Asante Akyem North has historically been dominated by New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidates since 1996.

The late Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu served from 1997 until his passing in 2008, followed by Lawyer Kwame Anyimadu Antwi (2008–2012), Kwadwo Baah Agyemang (2012–2016), and Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi, the incumbent since 2016.

Ohene Kwame Frimpong, who owns Salt FM in Agogo, and has constructed an ultra-modern mosque for the Zongo community, aims to break this trend.

He faces competition from Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi (NPP) and Kofi Asamoah (NDC) in the December 7 elections.

During the launch, Frimpong reaffirmed his vision to drive development in Asante Akyem North.

“My goal is to serve the people and ensure progress in education, health, infrastructure, and sports,” he stated.

Highlighting his ongoing initiatives, Frimpong noted efforts to renovate schools, support hospitals, and create jobs and travel opportunities for constituents.

“I want the people to have confidence in me. With your support, I will achieve more when elected on December 7,” he concluded.

The campaign launch showcased a blend of entertainment and political advocacy, leaving a lasting impression on the enthusiastic crowd.
