West Ham Sign Adama Traore From Fulham In £2m Deal

West Ham United have completed the signing of winger Adama Traore from Fulham in a deal worth up to £2 million as they continue their January transfer activity.

The 30-year-old joins from west London and reunites with manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who previously coached him at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The agreement includes an initial £1 million fee, with add-ons that could take the total package to £2 million. Traore has signed a contract until the end of the season, with an option for a further year.

Traore, who has been capped eight times by Spain, struggled for regular game time at Fulham this season, making just two Premier League starts.

He was not involved in Fulham’s 2–1 win over Brighton last weekend, with his final appearance coming in their 3–1 FA Cup victory over Middlesbrough on January 10.

“I’m so happy to be here and ready to help the team as much as I can,” Traore said. “My mentality is always to improve and give everything for the team. I believe we can achieve our targets.”

The winger began his career at Barcelona and has also played for Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Wolves before joining Fulham on a free transfer in 2023.

West Ham have been among the busiest clubs in the transfer window, also signing forwards Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos from Lazio.

The Hammers are currently in the relegation zone with 20 points but have won their last two league matches and will be hoping the new additions can help steer the club to safety.
